Skillshare affiliate program allows organizations to successfully sell a product at high returns on investment while increasing brand awareness and driving business growth.
Sure, some things sound too good to be true, but these advantages result from extremely focused and clever marketing. They aren’t real. Using a skillshare affiliate program, companies may pinpoint a target demographic and then choose the best possible representatives to represent the brand.
Before you start your skillshare affiliate program, read about the best practices and strategies you’ll need. But, first, let’s discuss affiliate marketing and some of the primary advantages that may be reaped from using it.
It’s a good strategy for brands because it entails paying individuals to promote your product and then repaying them on a commission basis for their efforts. However, it works best when used in conjunction with other methods of marketing outreach.
For the most part, a skillshare affiliate program is done in conjunction with a merchant who agrees to pay a commission to an affiliate marketer for every transaction they help generate.
The skillshare affiliate program employs a special link to track visitors to the website for businesses with an online presence. An affiliate receives a portion of sales made as a result of the affiliate’s marketing efforts.
Benefits of Skillshare Affiliate Program on Your Business
It is estimated that by 2022, affiliate marketing expenditures in the United States will amount to $8.2 billion.
For what reasons are businesses pouring money into affiliate marketing? The following are a few advantages of working with affiliates:
Table of Contents
1. Low cost of start-up
You don’t need an advertising team or to buy ad space to participate in an affiliate program.
Instead, you’ll have to rely on your skillshare affiliate program to provide their marketing content. Apart from the initial effort of picking and screening affiliates, selling your items requires very little effort from you, which is one of the reasons it’s become so popular.
Once a corporation is comfortable working with an affiliate and has established a positive relationship, they can mostly delegate your service or product marketing to them.
2. Low ongoing costs
Because the skillshare affiliate program handles most of your marketing, they’ll be responsible for a portion of the costs. And because it’s a commission-based scheme, you’ll only pay affiliates if they bring in purchases.
Unlike other marketing methods, such as PPC advertising, which forces you to pay for every click leading to your website, this marketing approach makes costs easy to manage and does not disrupt your cash flow. On the other hand, the skillshare affiliate program ensures that you only part with money when sales are made.
3. Low risk
Low risk equals lost cost. In addition, payments are only made when there is an actual conversion, so there is little risk of loss, ideal for businesses on a tight budget.
4. Targeted Traffic
Because you handpick your affiliates, you can be sure that the traffic coming to your site is from people interested in your product or service. This is because a skillshare affiliate program that connect with your brand will most likely have people in their circle of influence who will benefit from it.
5. Flexibility
You may easily scale up or down your skillshare affiliate program at little or no expense. It also provides you with a cost-effective approach to expanding your organization.
6. High ROI for skillshare affiliate program
You won’t achieve a high ROI because you have the keys to product innovation and good management skills; you’ll also need to nail your marketing.
The majority of marketing tactics have been shown to have a worse return on investment than affiliate marketing.
One of the main reasons for this is that affiliates in your target audience’s spheres of influence will tell them about your product or service. In other words, you’re funneling your marketing efforts through an affiliate who has direct access to and influence over a highly focused audience that’s interested in what you’re selling.
skillshare affiliate program is increasingly becoming a key component of many marketing plans, owing to the high return on investment that other methods cannot match.
Before I go into the ways to make money using Skillshare’s affiliate program, I’d like to bring out something that isn’t unique to Skillshare’s affiliate program. Still, it might be something you’ve never heard of.
Here’s the deal: there are several ways to join Skillshare’s affiliate program.
You just obtain referral URLs for individual classes and share them if you’re a student or a teacher on the platform. (For example, here’s a link to Affiliate Marketing Side Hustle: A New Entrepreneur’s Guide, which I just stole from that page’s “share” button.)
If you don’t wish to share a specific class, you can acquire a generic link by clicking on your profile image and scrolling down to “refer a friend,” where you’ll see your link.) In any case, you’ll get $10 for each individual that signs up for the free trial.
However, on Skillshare’s affiliate program page (at www.skillshare.com/affiliates), it says you get $10 each referral, but clicking the “join for free” button takes you to their affiliate network (Impact), which says you earn $7 per referral. (Clearly, you don’t want to do that!)
Skillshare, on the other hand, is a member of various affiliate networks. This isn’t all that common, but it’s also not unheard of. Other major retailers (such as Target, for example) follow suit.
So, if you join Skillshare’s affiliate program through the FlexOffers affiliate network, you’ll make $12 for each referral. So, if you have no plans to use the platform as a student or, more crucially, a teacher, I recommend signing up through FlexOffers.
Now that that’s out of the way… Let’s get started!

Reviews of skillshare affiliate program
At one point, it is considered starting a site dedicated solely to Skillshare class reviews. It is enrolled in the class, complete the class project, then write a blog post about my experience.
You’d never run out of content with the platform’s 26,000+ classes! (So, if you want to take my idea, go ahead.
However, you don’t have to create a separate website only to evaluate the skillshare affiliate program! With so many class types to pick from, you’re bound to find something that fits your particular niche. Here are a few of the categories from which to choose:
- Animation
- Imaginative Writing
- Video & Film
- Artwork of high quality
- Designing Graphics
- Illustration
- Music
- Photography
- User Interface/UX Design
- Web design and development
- Business Intelligence
- Entrepreneurship & Freelancing
- Management & Leadership
- Marketing
- Lifestyle
- Productivity
And those are simply the broadest classifications. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of subcategories to choose from. Crafts, cuisine, gaming, health & wellness, home business, languages, teaching, and so on are just a few examples of what you’ll find under lifestyle.
Under those subcategories, there are even more subcategories. As a result, you might get niche-specific.
Not only is this a terrific opportunity to earn some affiliate money, but the classes are also entertaining and/or educational. As a result, you’ll master new skills while also earning some extra cash. Plus, by promoting classes, you’re helping to support Skillshare’s independent instructors. Win-win-win!
That reminds you… It would contact the teacher and let them know if you do a class evaluation (especially if it is favorable). What are the chances? They may also re-share your post with their audience. Another victory!

Round-Ups of Skillshare affiliate program Classes
You could build a class round-up instead of taking only one class and reviewing it if you want to write a faster blog post.
You could, for example, write something like this, depending on your blog’s niche:
“This weekend, you can take (and finish!) ten craft classes!”
“8 Free Social Media Classes to Help Your Company Stand Out!”
“With these Free Classes, Photograph Your Handmade Products Like a Pr
“These three free classes will teach you everything you need to know about branding your business.”
You get the picture
It is always explained that they’re free because either the person already pays for Skillshare (in which case the class is included in their premium membership), or they get one (or occasionally two) free months as a trial premium membership when they use your referral link. (Whether they stay on as a premium student or not, you still get the $10 credit… At least for the time being.)
Using Pinterest to promote the certain skillshare affiliate program
Did you know that you may use Pinterest to post affiliate links? It’s true (despite their back-and-forth on the subject). It’s still accurate as of right now!)
I’m also working on a Skillshare session about how to use affiliate links on Pinterest right now! As soon as it’s available, I’ll update this post.
In the interim, it would look somewhat like this:
You’ll need to start by making a Pinterest-friendly image of the class. For example, this is what it might look like:
Then, at the top right of the window, click the red + icon and select “make pin” to post the image to Pinterest.
This will allow you to upload an image and add a title, description, and URL (which will be your affiliate link). You must state that the link is an affiliate link in the description (per Pinterest and FTC rules).
As an example, for the image above, It might write the following description:
“For the next two months, get this video course, “Affiliate Marketing Side Hustle, a New Entrepreneur’s Guide,” for free! #affiliatelink #affiliatemarketing”
You do not need to use a hashtag. Some others even advise against it. I alternate between the two to see which works best. So far, I haven’t observed much of a difference.
Using skillshare affiliate program to Teach and Promote Your Courses
This is probably the most lucrative way to make money with the Skillshare affiliate network because you’re compensated for the time students spend watching your class in addition to the $10 referral commissions
As a result, you’ll establish a class and market it to your email list, your website, and so on. To acquire the most recommendations and students in your class, you’ll want to build a class that appeals to your target demographic.
I have just under a dozen lessons on Skillshare, and the combination of my classes and recommendations earns me thousands of dollars each month. The biggest month in referrals I’ve got so far was 98 (or $980), and the highest month in income (so far) was $2,288.21. Given that most of my classes are around 30 minutes, this isn’t terrible.
Instructors from the skillshare affiliate program are interviewed.
Finally, interviewing the class teachers is another option to get money with the Skillshare Affiliate program.
This isn’t a strategy they’ve explored (yet! ), but I believe it would be effective in certain categories.
Assume the class you’re promoting is an art class. That instructor might know a lot about being an artist, how to make a career as an artist, how to run a business online, how to teach art, and so on.
So it doesn’t have to be entirely on the class or classes that persona teaches, but you should include links throughout the post and (perhaps) a list of all the classes that persona teaches if there are more than one.
That’s it: five methods to profit from the Skillshare Affiliates program.
