The purpose of this article is to make you become a freelancer in 30 days and I promise to guide you with everything you
need to get started and get your first client as a freelancer, be it any service you offer.
I will also guide you through how to decide on what service to offer, how to learn it, and how to get your first gig or order.
Freelancing opportunity
Day 1 to become a freelancer in 30 days:
Many people want to work as a freelancer not only because it gives them more freedom, but also because it’s the future of work. It takes a long time and money to hire full-time employees, so more and more businesses are hiring freelancers to save time and money.
The main goal of this guide is to help you become a Freelancer in 30 days and get your first paying client. In this article, I’ll show you how to choose what service to offer, how to learn it, and how to get your first job.
Choosing the right service to offer
Day 3 to become a freelancer in 30 days:
Why did I choose this as the first step? It will help you choose a service to offer without having to spend too much time thinking about it.
This would help you decide what skill or service you want to sell βand you’d be able to rate yourself if you can actually do well or not.
This is the first but most important step on the road to become a freelancer in 30 days. Many people don’t even start because of this.
If you don’t want to make a commitment to one skill when there are so many interesting and profitable things you can do,
it can be scary!
I’ll make it easy for you.
First, don’t let money be your goal. Many people let money decide what they do for a living. It’s different when it comes to freelancing, though.
You can turn your favorite hobby into a source of income. That’s the best part of the trip. Choose what you like, what you find interesting,
and what is in line with your own personality. In order to make money, you can turn your interests and skills into something
that makes money.
Also, the best way to make this decision easier is to think of it as a game or a test. If you want to be a web designer, social media manager, or writer,
you need to have been practicing any of the skills in the past. “All of life is an experiment.” When you try new things more often, it’s better.
Give your experiment a place where you’ll look back at how it went. “Give yourself different tasks on that skill and make sure you execute them as soon as you can,
think about what you liked and what you didn’t like, what you can improve on after the tasks, and whether you should keep working in that field or try something else.”
Also, keep in mind that you can always offer more than one service at the same time, as long as they’re related and you’re a professional in them. In that case,
start with one and add the other later on. If you choose social media management, you can do everything from writing copy to making content graphics.
If you want to work for yourself, you can do any job or skill. I’ve listed some of the most common ones below.
Among each of these, there are specializations that might be even better matched with your current skills and interests than the general ones.
Examples: You could specialize in design for companies that sell to businesses, or copywriting for businesses that sell to people who care about their health and well-being.

Learn The Basic Skill:
Day 10 to become a freelancer in 30 days:
Don’t forget that the goal is to become a freelancer in 30 days and you need to make sure you learn all the basic concepts about that service and the most likely asked questions.
Make sure you know what you’re doing and have a good understanding! If you think you can do the skill well already.
Note! Do note take a 6-month course as your first way to learn a skill, Also, don’t get sucked into a three-month black hole of articles and YouTube videos that would take all your time to learn.
You can go to Udemy or Coursera and get a free course on any skill you want to learn or purchase a course of less than $20 and not more than 10 lessons.
As soon as you learn a skill, you start getting paid for it. β
You can also read a well detailed article about your chosen skill just like this article.
Example: You can type to Google “how to become a copywriter,” and you’ll find different articles that will teach you everything you need to know about copywriting.
You can move on to the next step after you finish your chosen how you want to learn the skill.
Make Two Free Samples of your Work
Day 15 to become a freelancer in 30 days:
If you choose graphic design as a skill, you can look for a different restaurant around you and design a stunning brand logo for them for free and present it to them, if
they seem like the logo, you can request for review or ask them to use the logo on their website or social media pages, you can redirect your future clients to those pages to see your work
and you’d be able to convert new clients easily, Most clients like to see past jobs you have done and they want to believe you’re the right person for their project.
Programmers do this all the time. They make something on the side for fun, but they use it in their portfolio and even put it on their LinkedIn.
Sign up on Freelancing websites:
Day 2o to become a freelancer in 30 days:
As for me and you already know that the purpose and goal is to become a freelancer in 30 days,
This step is all about getting on the market to find people who might be interested in your business.
Sign up for sites like Contra.com and Upwork.com, and then set up your profile on these two websites or more.
The process of setting up one’s profile can be yet another obstacle at the start of one’s freelancing journey.
I suggest that you look up profiles of people who offer similar services and use them as a source of inspiration.
This is the best way for you to start right away.
The two samples you made in the previous step will be able to be added to your profile. When people see this, they will be able to see who you are and what you’re capable of.

Pull out and apply for jobs
Day 25 to become a freelancer in 30 days:
The purpose of this step is to get your first job and see what it’s like to work for yourself.
Make sure you start applying for jobs right away after you have set up your profile and gigs! Customers will reach out to you on Contra.com based on your portfolio and the things you do.
In the long run, I think it’s best to use Contra because their goal is to help independent workers work how they want and they don’t charge any commission fees, so what you make is 100% yours.
There are a lot of jobs on Upwork and Fiverr that start at a low level, so you can search for them and apply to them. To build your portfolio, use Upwork.com and Fiverr.com.
Then, use Contra.com to become an independent contractor, where you can work on projects that make you happy and make money.
When you apply for jobs on Upwork or Fiverr, your proposal is the most important part of the whole process.
Here’s a sample that you can use. You can change it to fit the job you want.

First Project Completed:
Day 29 to become a freelancer in 30 days:
After your first job and experience with your first client, you’ll know a lot about what you like and don’t like. There is a chance that you want to do social media marketing,
but you want to focus on a single social media platform. Maybe you charge too little for the amount of work you do.
Maybe you like the service you’re giving, but you want better customers.
Conclusion:
It doesn’t matter what you do, because it’s all part of the journey. There are many ways to do work that lets you have the life you want.
Freelancing can be one way to do that work. But it also takes a lot of trial and error and a lot of time to get good at this.
It usually takes a few months before you get used to the job and start charging enough money to make a good living.
Remember what life could be like in two to three years if you kept going.
